In the book Public Relations Writing and Media Techinques chapter 3 covers Legal Hassels and how to avoid them.

This chapter is really helpful because once I get a job in the PR field I will know how to avoid putting my company in jeopardy. I learned the difference between libel and slander: libel is written falsehood and slander is oral. I also learned that the only information that you can offer about an employee is whether or not that person is an employee, his or her title and position, and the date the employee started the job. Providing any other information could result in criminal charges. Another way to avoid legal hassles is to always get full permission from a person before using his or her photo in anything.
